Do you love romance series? I know I do. I love the continuing saga of a family or tight knit group. One of the things I love most is getting to know very different characters. Good series authors are careful to build each family member as a unique and interesting human being. I’ll drop a series quickly if every hero and/or heroine is the same. No family is like that. Also, in general, I’m not a fan of series where the link is a single character. I want resolution—the HEA—for the characters in the book I’m reading. I don’t want to wonder and wait months or years to discover what’s going to happen to them next. (A. Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes series is one exception, but each story is self-contained and provides resolution with little or no questions unanswered.) Login and leave a comment and let me know what you like or don’t like in a series.
As you can see, I’m pretty serious about what I like in romance series books. When I had trouble finding the kind of series I like to read, I decided to write one. Thus, the Wildfire Love series was born. Today is release day for the third book of this series, One Day’s Loving. Freedom or love? Courage or comfort? Unless Mae Alden meets the terms of her grandfather’s outrageous last testament she will lose everything. She’s ready to sacrifice all creature comforts to preserve her principles, but is she willing to lose her one chance at love? You can find the first two books of the series here, or you may purchase One Day’s Loving here.
I’ve really enjoyed following the adventures of these three women and meeting characters who deserve their own books (as yet unwritten). Yes being serious about romance series has been a treat for me, and I hope for you.
