Crimson One Year Anniversary Post: Holy Moly, It’s Been a YEAR!

By Karen Sue Burns, author of In Hot Pursuit

In Hot PursuitHoly moly, it’s hard to believe a year has passed since my debut romantic suspense, In Hot Pursuit, was released by Crimson. It seems like the time has jetted past me and I’m still caught in the turbulence, meaning there is never enough time to do all that needs to be done. Never fear, I have managed to keep my feet on the ground and my author focus on creating more great stories.

And, speaking of stories, I recently visited Las Vegas to inspire my muse related to a new plot that centers on the interworking of a major casino, along with a dead body or two. In my research for the perfect casino setting, I had lunch at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at the Paris Las Vegas resort. The location has a fantastic view of the Fountains of Bellagio!

Bellagio fountainsThe sight naturally made me think of my hero and heroine, Logan and Quinn, from In Hot Pursuit. They visited the Paris resort and also watched the fountains in their pursuit of the bad guy who stole $25 million. Thinking about them as the fountains waved back and forth, made me realize I should do a follow up story for Logan and Quinn. Seriously, they are such a cute couple.

Even though I lost money on the Vegas slot machines, I left with a great new plot idea for Logan and Quinn―one that I will pitch to Crimson. I’m very fortunate to be one of the line’s launch authors. I wish the entire Crimson Romance team good fortune and good luck for the second year of incredible romance reading. Here’s to champagne wishes and a slipper full of happily-ever-afters!
