Hello and happy holidays! Hard to believe it’s that time of year already. Today was spent putting up the tree, making sure which child (I have a daughter and son-in-law, and a son and daughter-in-law) made the naughty or nice list and finishing the last of the Christmas shopping. Well, I do still have to get the holiday groceries, since I’m the one hosting the party this year.
Every since November, I’ve been DVR’ing the holiday movies on television as fast and furious as I can in order not to miss a single one. I do have to admit, I’m a big Polar Express fan. To believe in magic is the best gift of all at the holidays and also every day of the year. You have to keep your mind open to every opportunity that comes your way. Okay, I also watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas, both versions, every year. What can I say; I’m a sucker for the classics.
I’m also a brand new Crimson Romance author and thrilled to be part of the wonderful line-up of authors that are coming your way. My release, Secrets of the Heart, is one that I can personally relate to. I’ve worked in a hospital and I’ve spent time in a hospital. Personally, working there is better than lying in a hospital bed.
In Secrets of the Heart, my heroine Isabelle is a strong woman who knows what she wants, yet she’s also a workaholic with no time for a personal life. When Nicholas shows up at the hospital where she works, she’s thrown for a loop. While she’s never really gotten over the man, she’s never forgiven him either for the way he left her. My hero Nicholas, let alone being a prince, is tall, dark and incredibly sexy, as well as the epitome of an Alpha male. What Nicholas wants, he gets and Isabelle is front and center on his radar. I hope you’ll enjoy reading their story as they work their way back to one another and find the love they’ve lost.
I really enjoyed writing this book as it gave me the opportunity to let Isabelle and Nicholas fall in love, fall out of love, and then fall right back into it all over again. And that’s what it’s all about. Find out what’s important in a relationship, and remembering why you fell head over heels in the first place.
I’ve been a writer as far back as I can remember. Probably as soon as I could hold the pencil in my hand and print words on a piece of paper. To me there is nothing better than creating a love story that a reader never wants to end. And when they do come to the last page, they sigh and wish for more.
This is my nineteenth novel/novella that I’ve published. I’ve also been published in fiction and non-fiction magazine length work. Writing is one of the best things that ever happened to me. If you’d like to learn more about me, please visit my website.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
All my best, Patti Shenberger
