E-book Loading Instructions

Below are some helpful tips on how you can transfer your e-book to your portable e-reader device. Note: These instructions are guidelines only. For the most complete instructions, please refer to your owner’s manual or the manufacturer’s website.

Transferring EPUB Files via USB for Nook (PC)

  1. Attach the Nook to the computer with the USB cable. The Nook appears in the My Computer menu.
  2. Drag and drop the EPUB file into the Nook’s My Documents folder.
  3. Eject the Nook from the computer and then unplug the USB cable.
  4. On the Nook, tap Library and then tap View My Documents.
  5. Tap Check for New Content and your ebook will appear.

Transferring EPUB Files via USB for Nook (Mac)

  1. Attach the Nook to the computer with the USB cable. The Nook mounts as a drive on the desktop.
  2. Drag and drop the EPUB file into the Nook’s My Documents folder.
  3. Eject the Nook from the computer and then unplug the USB cable.
  4. On the Nook, tap Library and then tap View My Documents.
  5. Tap Check for New Content and your e-book will appear.

Transferring EPUB Files via USB for Kobo (PC)

  1. Connect the Kobo to the computer with the USB cable. The Kobo prompts you to either keep reading or manage your library. You can use your computer or the KOBO desktop app to add books.
  2. Using the Navigation Pad, select Manage Library.
  3. When prompted for an action, select Open Folder to View Files.
  4. Drag and drop the EPUB file into Kobo.
  5. Eject the Kobo from the computer and then unplug the USB cable.
  6. Look for your e-book in the e-books area.

Transferring EPUB Files via USB for Kobo (Mac)

The free Android File Transfer app is required for tablets.

  1. Connect the Kobo to the computer with the USB cable.
  2. The Android File Transfer window will open for tablets. The Kobo mounts as a drive on the desktop for e-inks.
  3. Drag and drop the EPUB file into the Kobo.
  4. Quit the Android File Transfer app or eject the Kobo from the computer and then unplug the USB cable.
  5. Look for your e-book in the e-books area.

Transferring EPUB Files via USB for iBooks (Mac)

  1. Connect the iPad to the computer with the USB cable.
  2. Open iTunes and click on Books.
  3. Drag and drop the EPUB file into the Books window.
  4. Sync iTunes with the iPad.
  5. Open the iBooks app on the iPad and your e-book will appear.

Transferring EPUB Files via USB for other Android devices
